Lisa Wang is a serial entrepreneur and the CEO of SheWorx, the global platform empowering 20,000+ female entrepreneurs with access to top mentors, investors, and actionable business strategies. Lisa is a former Olympic-level rhythmic gymnast, 4x US National Champion, and U.S. Hall of Fame Inductee for her landmark contributions to the sport. Lisa was named CIO’s “Top 20 Female Entrepreneurs to Watch in 2017” and graced the front of Forbes Leadership for the resilience and tenacity she brings from her athletic training to the SheWorx mission.

Mark Reinstra is a partner at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where he practices corporate and securities law. His practice covers a broad range of general corporate, securities, and transactional matters, including venture capital financings, public offerings, and mergers and acquisitions. He represents private and public companies across many industries, including Internet infrastructure, e-commerce, semiconductors, software, professional services, and life sciences enterprises. Mark currently teaches New Venture Finance at UC Berkeley School of Law. He has also lectured at the Haas Business School at the University of California, Berkeley, regarding the initial public offering process, and at The Wharton School Entrepreneurs Workshop.

Carrie Kibler is Of Counsel in the San Francisco office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where she practices corporate and securities law with an emphasis on the representation of emerging growth companies and venture capital firms. She represents venture capital firms with respect to a variety of investments into their portfolio companies as well as numerous technology-based start-ups and middle-stage companies, and counsels entrepreneurs and companies through all stages of growth in matters ranging from formation and initial capitalization to venture capital financing and board governance matters.

Ooshma Garg is the Founder and CEO of Gobble. Gobble helps busy professionals cook dinner for their family in just 15 minutes with one pan. Their breakout technology maps each person’s tastes to develop the perfect weekly "food playlist" for their diet preferences. Ooshma has raised over $12M in venture funding for Gobble from Silicon Valley titans, along with founders and executives from PayPal, LinkedIn, Google and Facebook. Ooshma was named to Forbes' Top 30 Innovators Under 30 and Inc. Magazine's 30 Under 30.

Anne Cocquyt started her career in the IT industry leading multi-million dollar IT outsourcing projects across Europe and Asia. In 2012, Anne moved to San Francisco after spontaneously getting married. While starting a new career in the biotech industry, she founded and sold a small hardware company. During that time Anne invested heavily in her network and founded a ladies club to help other women start their own businesses. After leaving her corporate career in 2016, Anne put her network and her MBA in computer science and statistics to work in her current venture, the GUILD.

Layne Gray has done it all. She’s a serial entrepreneur, founder of Cellar and Cork (who we partnered with for Taste and Passion), and an avid philanthropist and angel investor. She’s worked as an executive for Oracle, and started multiple businesses, giving her the unique perspective of being on both sides of a pitch meeting.

SESSION 4: Evaluate Your Startup

Navigating the basics of a business changes completely when that business is a startup. Luckily Denise Gershbein and Jon Littman will lead us through the Riki Platform, which is catered to you and your startup’s needs! The Riki Platform is a method that dives deep into your startup to assess its strengths and what your goals should be. In just three hours, they’ll cover product, customers, culture, business strategies and the unique way they relate to your project. You’ll leave this session with a deeper understanding of your own startup through the lens of an innovative and integrated approach, developed by expert practitioners.

Denise Gershbein is a seasoned design leader and international consultant who was the Executive Creative Director at Frog Design, celebrated for its work for Apple, Sony, Disney and GE. Her portfolio includes environment and experience design, B2B, and consumer products. Denise also holds an MFA in Product Design from Stanford University.

Jonathan Littman is the founder of SmartUp.life: The Innovation Hub, and the co-author of the IDEO bestsellers, The Art of Innovation and The Ten Faces of Innovation. He teaches Creativity, Innovation and Applied Design at the University of San Francisco. He is the author of eight books, four of which have been optioned for film.
