SESSION 1: Alternative Funding Options & The Perfect Pitch

Donna Griffit

Donna Griffit, Corporate Storyteller, has worked globally for nearly 15 years with Fortune 500 companies, Start-Ups and investors in a wide variety of industries. She has consulted and trained clients in over 30 countries, helping them create, edit and deliver verbal and written presentations, pitches and messages.  Donna has the ability to magically spin raw data into compelling stories that captivate audiences and drive to results.  Through her guidance clients have raised hundreds of millions of dollars. Mayra Ceja

Mayra Ceja is an experienced venture capitalist. Currently, she's the Director of ICOs/Equity at Indiegogo. Prior she launched Princeton University's first seed-stage fund. (Wharton MBA; Princeton BA)

Sara Deshpande

Sara Deshpande is a Partner at Maven Ventures, a leading seed venture fund investing in software companies that impact consumers' lives and are fueled by hypergrowth. She invests in seed-stage companies across consumer mobile, marketplaces, digital health, and autonomous vehicles, and is an active advisor to the companies in the Maven portfolio. At Maven since 2014, Sara has been part of six exits and over 20 investments including Chariot (acquired by Ford), Carrot, May Mobility, Eden, Neighborly, Gametime, Embark, Hello Heart, and more. Sara has worked with consumer and tech startup founders around the globe for the last decade, from helping to launch a consumer footwear brand to running her own national startup consulting practice. Previously, she led the portfolio and programming for hundreds of high-growth startups at The Idea Village, an entrepreneurship engine in New Orleans, and was a management consultant in the Healthcare Strategy practice at Deloitte in San Francisco. Sara holds a BS in Finance from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio and an MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.

Elena Krasnoperova

Elena Krasnoperova is the co-founder and CEO of FamTerra Inc. Elena is a former exec from eBay, PayPal, Zong (acq. by PayPal for $240M), and Upwork (filed for IPO), a Stanford Ph.D. in Psychology, and a limited partner in 500 Startups. She is passionate about family tech (using technology to make life easier for parents) and about supporting female entrepreneurs. FamTerra's newest app, WeParent, makes co-parenting simpler for 50M+ divorced and separated parents

Alyssa Frederick

Alyssa Frederick is an associate in the SOMA office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where she practices corporate and securities law. Alyssa represents private and public companies on general corporate and transactional matters, including venture capital financings, public offerings, and mergers and acquisitions.

Prior to joining the firm, Alyssa was an associate at Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP in New York, where she focused on financings and other transactions in the clean tech and energy sectors.

Tracy D. Rubin

Tracy Rubin is a senior associate in the technology transactions practice at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati's Palo Alto office.

Tracy focuses on large commercial transactions, including technology mergers and acquisitions, complex asset carve-out deals, and strategic investments. She has also assisted clients with initial public offerings, financings, and a wide range of licensing matters, including patent purchase agreements, settlement agreements, university licensing agreements, joint development agreements, and other agreements pertaining to technology licensing, development, and distribution. Tracy has worked with a range of clients from small start-ups licensing technology to help start and grow their business to large public companies seeking targeted advice on unique technology transactions matters. She has experience in a variety of technology-driven industries, including hardware, software, semiconductors, energy and clean technology, e-commerce, media, and Internet.

SESSION 2: The Founders' Lounge

Move over boys' club, the ladies are here. In the Founders’ Lounge, female founders meet female funders with salon-style connection making. Meet the woman who could be the next connection you need to seal the deal over a glass of whiskey. We’re curating a perfect mix of founders, funders, and entrepreneurs to meet and share ideas, connections, and help each other succeed in the business world.

Format: Apply to receive curated introductions to up to 4 investors.

Anne Cocquyt started her career in the IT industry leading multi-million dollar IT outsourcing projects across Europe and Asia. In 2012, Anne moved to San Francisco after spontaneously getting married. While starting a new career in the biotech industry, she founded and sold a small hardware company. During that time Anne invested heavily in her network and founded a ladies club to help other women start their own businesses. After leaving her corporate career in 2016, Anne put her network and her MBA in computer science and statistics to work in her current venture, the GUILD.

As Executive Director of Invest in Bavaria’s West Coast office in San Francisco, I'm helping US scale-ups enter Europe’s largest market Germany. I have a broad background in international business promotion and economic development.
I was born and raised in Bavaria’s capital Munich. I hold graduate degrees in Business Administration and Economics and speak English, Russian and German.
